The Ariens Apex 991163 is a commercial-grade zero turn mower built around a 24 HP 726cc Kawasaki FR730 V-Twin engine, Ariens’ most powerful engine offering, paired with Hydro-Gear ZT-3100 transaxles for smooth hydrostatic drive up to 8 mph forward and 4 mph reverse. The mower features a 60-inch fabricated deck, 5½ inches deep, constructed from durable 10-gauge steel with three spindles delivering a blade tip speed of 18,000 FPM for a clean, consistent cut across 15 adjustable cutting positions ranging from 1.5 to 5 inches.
Built on a fully tubular steel frame for added durability, the Apex includes self-adjusting belt technology, electric Ogura deck engagement, and a foot-operated deck lift for effortless height adjustments. A 5.1-gallon fuel tank supports extended mowing sessions on larger properties.
Operator comfort is enhanced with a high-back premium seat featuring padded armrests, and a standard hour meter for maintenance tracking. Front wheels measure 13 x 6.5 inches and rear wheels 22 x 12 inches for stable handling on varied terrain. The unit weighs 870 lbs and measures 79″L x 75″W x 49″H.
Backed by a 4-year or 500-hour machine warranty plus a 5-year limited warranty on the deck and frame. Optional accessories available include bagger systems, mulching kits, discharge cover, and operator-controlled chute baffle for added versatility.
